Frequently Asked Questions

My partner/spouse doesn't want to come. Is it OK for me to come on my own?

It is quite possible for you to come on your own, though I would normally prefer to work with both of you. If your partner is uncertain, why not suggest that he or she calls me for an informal and confidential chat?

How many sessions will be needed?

This is an impossible question to answer, as it depends on so many factors. For some people an open-ended approach is best, while others prefer to contract for a specific number of sessions (say 6 in the first instance). We can talk about this at your introductory session.

How much will it cost?

My charges are £60 per session. Payment is by cash, cheque, or bank transfer, and should be paid in advance or at the beginning of the session. This saves having to talk about money at the end when we may have been focusing on sensitive matters.

What happens if I/we miss a session?

If you give more than 48 hours' notice I will try to re-schedule the session. If notice is less than 48 hours I will have to charge you for the session. It is best if you can give me as much notice as possible of any forthcoming absences. I will let you know when I will be on holiday.
